Some TAPCUG Presentation Topic IdeasMay – Adobe by Bob Moffet – Specific presentation details to be developed by Bob June – Microsoft Publisher by Maggie – My suggestion would be to show how Publisher differs from using a word processor by Microsoft Word. Then show how Publisher is used to prepare the TAPCUG Newsletter. Is there a templete? Show how its used. Show how the title page is created. Show how some articles (like Discovering Windows 7) are inserted into it and formated for the newsletter. Just do this for a couple of pages to give the audience an idea how it works. I'll bet we have members who would be interested in ctreating their own newsletters if they knew how it was done. We might even find people who would be willing to help Maggie with the TAPCUG newsletter if they knew how it was done. DATE to be determined – Partitioning your hard drive. Give a little history of the process. Reasons why you might want to do it. Show how to do it. Date to be determined – PowerPoint presentations. We've seen them, how can you make one? Explain what PowerPoint is (might even mention alternative like OpenOffice Impress) and show how to setup the program and how it works. Demonstrate creating a short presentationand then run it. If you have an Idea you would like to see presented, PLEASE send it iin an email to john.wickliffe@gmail.com and we will see about setting it up for a meeting |
